Young Norwich Creative Awards

Celebrating the best young talent in writing, visual arts, music and textiles.

IT’S TIME!!!
ENTER NOW AND WIN £1000

Happy birthday to us! This is our 4th year of running the Young Norwich Creative Awards and since we started back in 2023 we've given out an incredible £21,000 to young people living, working or studying in Norwich to help them achieve their creative dreams.

And, this year, it could be YOU!

Why not?

"Ahhh, but I'm not an artist."

So? You don't have to be working as an artist, performer, writer (or whatever). You don't need to have studied or be studying it. 2024's Visual Art winner, the wonderful Solomon Awuni, wasn't a working artist. He was studying something completely different. But he loved to paint. So he entered. And he won. A big fat cheque for £1,000.

Last year's winner of the Film Award, the incredible Genevieve Rogers, was focussed on fashion and styling at college, but entered the short film category as well - and won!

"I haven't got time!"
Last year's Music winners, the fabulous band Chest, entered just hours before the final deadline, as did 2024 Music Award winner Gabby Rivers. Both £1,000 richer.

"I bet it costs loads to enter!"

Nah. It's free to enter.

"I bet it's really complicated to enter!"

All our finalists say the entry process is super simple: share a Google Drive with your entry and a short bit (mp3, mp4 or written) about the inspiration for it and fill in your name, address, phone number etc. Erm, that's it.

"I'm doing my exams/FMP. I haven't got time to create a new piece of work as well!"

No problem. Enter the one you've made for school, college or fun.

"People like me never win anything."

They can and they do and they have done and will continue to do so. Oh hang on, unless you mean "People like me who don't bother applying". Yep, those people don't win anything. Gotta be in it to win it, as somebody once said...!

Every single entry is rated by at least 3 judges, and then a further 3 judges choose the finalists from a shortlist put forward by the first judges. And...

EVERY entry is watched, listened to, read, admired.

So what are you waiting for?

So long as you are 16-25 years old and either live, work or study in the fine city of Norwich you should enter now!

You'll never discover just how brilliant you can be until you try...

Entries open at 6pm on April 30th 2026 and close at 23:59pm on Sunday 7 June 2026.
